The Black Doctor

Rebel Theater Company presents The Black Doctor a workshop production. Directed by Nick Petrie. This timeless love story centers around the universal themes of racial equality, cultural wars, and the freedom to openly love outside of one’s race. Rebel Theater Company will present this progressive adaptation of Ira Aldridge classic play, which will incorporate elements of clowning and physical theater. This original concept will incorporate elements of post Hurricane Katrina as it is juxtaposed to Paris France, during the French Revolution.
