About This Show

THIS SHOW HAS BEEN POSTPONED.

Go where John Hughes wouldn’t dare! Burn down the house with Molly, Dweezil, Rio, and the Elm St. Band. See FringeNYC veteran Chris Harcum rock his 1986 multi-character solo comedy true adventure, Some Kind of Pink Breakfast. Chris Harcum is deciding whether to go to his high school reunion. To accomplish this, he jumps back 20 years into his memory. The world he conjures mixes the humor and style of the movies, music, and videos of the 1980s with real-life events to create a magical reality all its own. This coming-of-age comedy spices up the usual teen angst with darker experiences of deception, pregnancy, and suicide. Original music by Debby Schwartz interplays with Harcum’s virtuoso performance of more than twenty-five characters. Going beyond nostalgia trip or memory play, Chris Harcum takes the audience to a personal place of funny and fresh connections to the past and profound insight into the imponderables of adulthood.
