Shangri-La-La: The Siegfried & Roy Revenge Musical, created by attorney, composer and director Mike Meier from his firsthand experience representing clients in litigation involving the legendary Las Vegas illusionists, comes to Theater for the New City’s Dream Up Festival for one performance on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 2:00 PM in the Johnson Theater. Narrated by the wisecracking ghost of Bugsy Siegel, Shangri-La-La follows Siegfried & Roy from ambitious outsiders to kings of the Las Vegas Strip, just as casino mogul Steve Wynn is transforming Sin City into a family-friendly fantasyland. Along the way come white tigers, Faustian bargains, courtroom warfare, show-business excess, manufactured mythology—and some spectacularly bad decisions.
