John Pizzarelli’s Pentimento brings Jessica Molaskey’s highly acclaimed CD of the same name to life on stage. The show features songs from the 1920s and 1930s like “We’re in the Money,” “Oh, You Beautiful Doll,” “By the Seas,” and “Ain’t We Got Fun” interspersed with dramatic readings that evoke the era in which the songs were written and suggest the underlying melancholy of these upbeat tunes.
