About This Show

Theater for the New City presents Your Town, written by Walter Corwin and directed by Jonathan Weber.

In a small Upstate New York Town, people have been jumping off the bridge. Literally. The Mayor of the town is desperate to change this, and his town’s reputation. His headstrong niece, fed up with his attitude, wants to expose the townspeople as a bunch of copy cats. Her boyfriend, a professor at the local community college, only wants her to “turn up the heat,” both literally and figuratively. And on the outskirts of the town, an aging gun nut and his wife argue over how to get rid of a cat that has clawed and bitten everyone in their family. And then they all collide…
