Avid fans of Samuel Beckett’s works, tangent theatre company presents its acclaimed production of Waiting for Godot in recognition of the groundbreaking play’s 50th anniversary. Directed by Keith Teller.
Originally staged in Paris, France in 1953, Waiting for Godot is Beckett’s most famous work. The existential play follows two days in the lives of two hapless tramps as they pass time anticipating the arrival of the titular Godot. Beckett was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1969 and his literary output –including plays, novels, stories and poems — has earned him the reputation of being one of the most important writers of our time.
There is a matinee performance on Sunday, October 19 at 3pm.
