In Forty Winks, Roberts presents a surprisingly short play with live drawings illuminating the life of a woman who won’t get out of bed…or will she? And Introducing Nona Octogenarian, Australian character Nona Appleby treads the boards again.

Victoria Roberts is an internationally renowned cartoonist, illustrator, playwright and performer whose work appears regularly in The New Yorker, The New York Times, Real Simple, and The Australian, and has been featured in The Washington Post, Time Magazine, Barron’s, the Boston Globe, The Wall Street Journal, Town & Country, Business Week, Ms., Readers’ Digest, Healthy Living, Playboy, and Nation Review. The NYC born, Australian educated cartoonist has written and illustrated many books including: My Sunday (Angus & Robertson Australia 1982), My Day (Chatto & Windus, U.K. 1984), The Book of Meaningful Relationships (Penguin Australia 1985), Biographees (Chatto & Windus 1986), Australia Felix (Chatto & Windus, U.K. 1988), Cattitudes (Villard Books, U.S.A. 1995), 365 Bedtime Stories (Broadway Books 1998), This Is Your Day (Villard Books 1999), The Pretty Kitty Journal (Stewart, Tabori & Chang), Pills for Cats (Simon & Schuster 2004) and many more. Roberts is the recipient of the Alliance Francaise Art Scholarship Creative Development Grant (Australian Film Commission for Goodbye Sally Goldstein) and Venice Studio (Australia Council) Australian Bicentennial Award for Australia Felix; she has had her work exhibited at galleries around the world.
