Ursula Eagly/Rebecca Davis – Nobody Try to Be a Hero / The Birds Are Here. I Hear Them.

Queens-based choreographer Ursula Eagly transforms the Chocolate Factory basement for “Nobody Try to Be a Hero” – inspired by the Moscow theater hostage crisis – in a shared evening with “The Birds are Here. I Hear Them.”, an episodic work by Rebecca Davis inspired by chemical compounds, classical Japanese poetry, and concepts of time and memory, involving the audience in a series of actions that alter the performance space as the performance progresses.
