About the Show
The 3rd Annual TRU Musical Reading Series features new musicals by Theatre Resources Unlimited member writers produced by TRU member companies. Events include:
Monday, 10/14: Valadon, featuring the turmoil, the triumph, and the passion that took Suzanne Valadon from the gutters of Montmartre to the galleries of Paris.
Monday, 10/21: The Story of My Father, in which a father dreams his family is as close-knit as a Motown group… but things are not so ideal in real life.
Tuesday, 10/22: Sugar Dumpling, a Civil War musical about a prostitute who confronts social convention and frees herself from her past.
All performances begin at 7:30pm and are followed by a wine reception and a panel.
