This Place

This Place, a new one-act play exploring LGBT life in the Arab World, will premiere at Dixon Place’s HOT! Festival on July 6th at 9:30pm.

Incorporating documentary and narrative storytelling, This Place documents the lives of LGBT inhabitants of a conservative country on the Arabian Peninsula. Using a bold mix of film and theater, this 30-minute play tells the story of two men coming to terms with their impending separation, interspersed with anonymous interviews focused on queer life in a traditional Islamic nation.
