About This Show

Artemis & the Wild Things presents William Shakespeare’s raucous satire, The Taming of the Shrew, set in the American West. Will Petruchio tame the wild Katherina? All of the single men in Padua, Texas hopes so as they vie for fair Bianca’s affections. The word is no one should have access to Bianca until the elder sister, ‘Katherine the curst’, takes a husband. Petruchio, arriving in search of wealth and wife, learns of Katherine’s father’s great wealth and decides to tame the wild-cat. With assistance of the other suitors, Petruchio begins one of the greatest battles in literary history.
