The Sandman

A contemporary adaptation of the classic story by E.T.A. Hoffmann, The Sandman follows the strange experiences of Nate, a tortured young man who witnessed what he believed to be the mythic Sandman maim and kill his father. Years later, everything is working out for Nate: he is engaged to a wonderful girl, has a great roommate at college, and feels he has finally been cured of the insanity that plagued his youth. Then he is approached by a curious man who sells him a pair of binoculars that, when focused on the Professor’s peculiar daughter, cause Nate to fall in love with her.
