New York City
Broken Watch Theatre Company presents The Safety Net, by Christopher Kyle, directed by Martha Banta.
In the wake of his adopted brother’s death, David discovers how far he will go to save his brother’s family. Neglecting his own marriage and a promising law career, he returns to his Midwest home to uncover the secrets of his brother’s past. Exploring the themes of race and class, The Safety Net is an intelligent, funny, and brutally honest exploration into the true definition of family and what makes us who we are; birth parents? the parents who raised us? or the family we create for ourselves?
Performances begin: May 10, 2024
