The Pumpkin Pie Show performs Kiddie Korner, four stories written and performed by Clay McLeod Chapman. In “River Trip,” a father drives his children to the spot where their mother recently drowned. “Spoonfed” is the story of a teenage boy whose sole human contact is with his comatose sister, whose every meal he hand-delivers. In “Shoes to Fill,” a fuzzy-suited performer at children’s birthday parties finds an outlet for his mounting bitterness. And finally, “The Pool Witch” is a tale of three adolescent boys navigating the seas of erotic discovery through the deification and vilification of a bleached-blond water park lifeguard. The production features musical accompaniment by Joshua Camp and Michael Hearst.
