About This Show

The Mystery of Edwin Drood is Rupert Holmes’ rollicking tribute to the British Music Hall, inspired by the unfinished novel by Charles Dickens. The "reality show" of its day, Drood is a one-of-a-kind audience-interactive "whodunnit". Each performance of Drood is a unique experience, as the audience determines the outcome of the story by voting on which character they believe murdered Edwin Drood. Set in the rowdy British Music Hall, the audience also decides which character is the disguised detective, which characters should be paired together as lovers, and other mysterious and hilarious outcomes. Book, music & lyrics by Rupert Holmes, directed and choreographed by Steven Smeltzer.
