About This Show

The End of Civilization is a play, which examines the outcomes of a society pushed to its limits. Its theme is represented again and again in today’s global climate. Set in a stark motel, this play is a mirror of modern man’s transient existence. Henry (Matthew Healy) is out of work and desperate. After months of searching he has left his home and two children to look for work in his wife Lily’s (Christina Pastor) hometown. Lonely and helpless, Lily befriends a neighbor, Sandy (Stacey Kelleher) at the motel. Sandy helps Lily try to find a way out of her mess. Donnie (Corby Proctor) and Max (Jeff Todesco) are two detectives who have been put on a recent homicide case, the prime suspect being Henry. These characters are forced to see the truth of their individual situations, all within the confines of this dingy motel.
