About This Show

Omar is a world-class knife thrower, and his wife Fifi has just announced that she’s expecting twins. What’s a guy to do but have an existential crisis? Then there’s Omar’s best friend, Austin–an unemployed actor who happens to meet a very greasy woman. It all leads to dinner and conversation, as John Patrick Shanley’s 1991 script examines both the mundane and the miraculous, with everything tinged with a political edge. Crezzle Productions presents The Big Funk. This “casual play” — written by the author of such works as Moonstruck, Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, and Psychopathia Sexualis — is directed by Mark Harborth.
