Based on the classic Scottish legend, Tam Lin may be one of the last of the worlds’ great fairy tales to not be stripped of its adult sensibilities through children’s books or animated film adaptations. It tells the story of a nobleman’s strong-willed daughter, Janet, and her effort to save her true love, Tam Lin, from the advances of the lascivious Queen of the Fairies, Passions flare, fairies frolic, curses are cast and lovers are chased through the forest as the clock strikes midnight on Halloween.
