Talent is a behind-the-scenes look at a talent competition in a small British cabaret. It centers on Julie a secretary-turned-aspiring singer and her overweight best friend Maureen. While waiting backstage for Julie’s “big break” (and trying to learn the lyrics to “Cabaret”), they encounter a motley assortment of performers and club dwellers. Despite the rumors that the contest is fixed, does Julie have enough talent to win?
