About This Show

Celebrate New York City with music, dance, and poetry in Sounds of the City, a dance extravaganza celebrating life in NYC. Up-and-coming composers and choreographers have teamed up to create five pieces, each inspired by a different part of NYC. Joe Brent and Candace Jablonski lead the way through the outer boroughs and downtown to the Financial District, Ross Adrian Williams and Ryann Nelson visit Central Park, Bram Barker and Martin Strenczewilk take a virtual trek through the subway, and Andrew Gerle and Nicole Roberson are inspired by the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

This evening of new music, fresh choreography, live musicians, and a poet is directed by Scott F. DelaCruz for the Toy Box Theatre Company.
