New York City
The Millennium Talent Group, in association with The Wings Theatre, Directors Louis Reyes Cardenas and Sarah Rosenberg, presents Six Degrees Of Separation as part of the 2004 Wings Theatre Gay Play Series.
Winner of the 1993 Olivier Award for Best Play and the New York Drama Critics Circle Award, Six Degrees of Separation addresses issues of racial friction, homophobia and social status that divide contemporary America. Inspired by a true story, the play tells the story of Paul, a young Black man who conned his way into the lives of New York Art Dealers Flan and Ouisa Kittredge. As events unfold, they learn Paul has also hustled their upper-class friends. Taking it’s name from Sociologist Stanley Milgram’s experiment called the Small-World Phenomenon, Six Degrees of Separation refers to the theory that everyone is connected by a chain of roughly six people.
There is a special performance on Monday April 5th at 8 PM.
