About This Show

Writer/performer Liza Colon-Zayas debuts this autobiographical piece, Sistah Supreme, documenting the struggle of a young Puerto Rican girl as she meets the challenges of growing up in the projects. Surrounded by some tough locals, dysfunctional relatives, and an Irish gangster stepfather, Liza finds strength in her mother, determined not to become an unfortunate statistic of urban family life.
This show is part of the first-ever NYC Hip-Hop Theater Festival.
