About This Show

Produced by Carlo Rivieccio and Christy Benanti, the Shortened Attention Span One-Act Festival presents 20 plays, each under 20 minutes, over the course of four weeks. Every performance includes 5 plays and each play is presented 5 times during the festival. An audience favorite will be named each week, with the winner receiving a $100 prize.

“We felt that the short form is greatly under represented, especially in the summer theatre festivals in NYC, so we decided to create a festival that celebrates the short play. Our shows cover a wide range of topics from romance stories to diva penguins to war plays to talking sirloins. We wanted a little of every type of genre to be represented in the Festival.”
— Carlo Rivieccio & Christy Benanti
