SHEEN, Sunday, August 27 and September 10 at the Brooklyn Comedy Collective, 167 Graham Ave, Brooklyn, NY at 7pm, is created & directed by Kaili Y. Turner. This workshop production, in residence with WOOF, is an interactive musical based in the 1960’s, where a group of teens sing, dance and fight their way through colorlines, while the audience laughs, learns and can’t help but to sing along.
SEGREGATION AT RYDELL HIGH BANNED! Based in the 1960’s, a group of teens sing, dance and fight to try to find their way. Stuck between color lines, the greasers and what it means to be American, they experience friendship, romances and adventures. Sheen, the musical named after hair sheen, a product used by African Americans for decades is the answer to Grease you never knew you needed, but are damn sure glad you have.

Sheen is a cross collaboration of Actors, Composers, Choreographers and Writers. It is performed by an ensemble cast: Alexis Braxton, Aaron LaRoche, Jeffrey Copeland, Amber Bloom, Kalynn Coleman, Arlene A. McGruder, Ronnetta Ranay, Jeff Kitt, Javana Mundy, Kristen Gonzalez, Shem Pennant, and Stephanie Anuwe.
