New York City
Acclaimed solo performer Mike Albo makes his playwrighting debut with this musical sci-fi satire on the American entertainment industry and consumerism. In the not-too-distant future, the Neilson ratings corporation perfects a method of individually hypnotizing viewers through their personal television sets, thereby enslaving their minds and infusing them with an insatiable need to buy sponsor’s products. The power-hungry masterminds mesmerize a budding teenage girl with a new show Sexotheque, a genetically engineered, youth oriented, totally hot dance extravaganza. When one of the corporation’s analyst’s falls in love with the teenager, she finds herself hermetically sealed in this colorcast world.
