Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers, are teenagers in Verona at the end of the 19th century. The story of the two doomed lovers is seen through the eyes of a disgraced and guilt-ridden Friar Laurence trying to come to terms with his own central role in this tragedy of missed connections.
