About This Show

Reluctant Pilgrim is a journey through some of the lesser-known tunes of academy and grammy award-winning composer Stephen Schwartz. With hits such as Wicked, Pippin and Godspell, not to mention work on the film scores of the Prince of Egypt, Pocohontas and Hunchback of Notre Dame, actors will rediscover some of his most exciting and in many cases, unheard music and lyrics. Directed by Jamie McGonnigal, who was responsible for the New York concerts of Pippin, Children of Eden and the upcoming Secret Garden, and with music director Ray Fellman, the cast will feature performances from some of new york’s finest undiscovered talents including Jeremy Benton, Marcie Passley, Christine Rowan and Horace Smith.
