About This Show

Prey for Rock and Roll, an all-girl rock musical written by Cheri Lovedog, tells the story of four women who have been playing music together for ten years in their band, Clamdandy. Their friendship and dedication is challenged when they are given one last chance to make it big. Jackie, the singer and songwriter of the band, has come to a turning point. After 10 years of being overlooked by record producers, one producer promises to see them play to consider a contract. Jackie decides that she will play one last gig and then quit if the band is not offered the deal. When personal tragedy strikes the band, the foundation of the women?s friendship starts to crumble at the moment they need it the most. Lovedog skillfully crafts her characters, their dreams, their motivations and their vastly different personalities while showing us how music is the common thread that holds them together.
