Play a la Turka is a multimedia production of Home-Works Theater in which the traditional performing arts practices of Turkey (Shadow Puppet Theater, Storytelling, and Improvisational Play) are interpreted. The play questions the possibility of reviving such traditions in the year 2000 while discussing related concepts of past/future, east/west and memory. The play, a bilingual experiment in Turkish and English languages, is part of the New York International Fringe Festival.
