Places Please, Act One is made up of celebratory monologues about the theatre, written by New Dramatists alumnus Warren Kliewer, and presented by Michèle LaRue.
Subtitled “poems around and about theatres,” the show offers a glimpse into the private lives of a public art form: from the over-imaginative designer to the barely-in-the-black producer, from a bewildered playwright to an accident-prone diva. Mr. Kliewer’s offerings are tiny one-acts of compelling drama and insightful comedy.
