Anne Devlin’s Ourselves Alone is a hard-hitting play that draws us into the lives of three women who dream of escaping the political unrest of Northern Ireland, however, loyalties toward family and complicated relationships with men keep them from leaving. As this drama develops, audiences begin to understand what life is like for these three women–fear and paranoia suffocate them and shatter every romantic and familial bond that is made.
