About This Show
San Francisco-based dance theater-artist, Federico Hewson, presents Original Blessing a collection of theatrical image, movement, and voice blended into an intimate portrait of a species. Hewson uses interviews conducted with friends and family at the end of 1999 in order to create a time capsule of individual expectations and hopes for Y2K and beyond. From computers to queer identity to conscious evolution, the writer/director/performer contrasts personal longings with a collage of varied perspectives to create this love letter to the 21st century. Part of the 5th annual New York International Fringe Festival.
