About This Show

In Cheryl King’s not a nice girl, a recently divorced woman re-enters the single world she once inhabited, where her sex drive finds an outlet, and where her needs for intimacy and a release for her passion can be explored. Cheryl King’s alter-ego Carol Kincaid, under the spell of love goddess Aphrodite, examines female subjugation in a patriarchal world, finds its sources in her own life, and moves on into freedom.

Her show is followed by a 15-minute epilogue The Rights of Man written and performed by Aaron Petrovich. Aaron saw Cheryl’s show and was moved to respond theatrically with his epilogue, Rights of Man, which proposes that the misguided way in which we discuss rape in popular culture protects rapists and victimizes survivors.
