Newly Grown Tales

Attic Salt Theatre Company debuts its newest family show Newly Grown Tales. This full-length unscripted show uses the basic tenets of storytelling to explain and demonstrate four popular types of folktales. Styles shown are the trickster tale, the fairy tale, the fool’s tale, and the tale of the unusual. Children and parents are asked to give suggestions as to what the subject matter of the story will be. The performers then create the tale using common elements of storytelling and theater such as straight narrative, shared narrative, puppetry, and instrumental and vocal music.
