Name Day

Name Day centers around Kara, an immigrant from the former Yugoslavia who came to America after WWII. She went through a terrible war trauma, but she cannot forget the event nor can she forgive the people that she holds accountable. She insists on holding an engagement party for her American son, Mike, on the Name Day of her infant son who died in the war. On the invitation list is Mike’s fiancé’s doting grandmother, whom Kara blames for the past. Old memories surface during the party, with disastrous consequences.
