My Life As A Blonde

From a crumbling basement apartment to a hazy Miami nightclub to the dark and desperate shadows of a downtown strip club, Gina Lombardi recounts with vivid detail her sordid journey from the dank and dirty urban underworld to the land of the redeemed. Gina’s story unfolds with cinematic clarity. Ilana Manaster plays Gina Lombardi, her mother Kansas Winters, and many other characters Gina encounters along the way. Segments of home movies, created by Manaster and cinematographer Gregory Edwards, provide added detail and heightened realism to this story of drugs and sex, daughterhood and motherhood.

This performance is presented as part of the New York International Fringe Festival.
