About This Show

Mrs. Warren’s Profession, by George Bernard Shaw, is a uniquely Shavian blend of humor and social criticism. This tale of a young woman forced to confront the indelicate truth about her mother’s wealth is as relevant today as when it premiered in 1902. Young people will recognize themselves in Vivie, the headstrong idealist; their parents will understand compromises Mrs. Warren accepts in order to ensure her daughter’s happiness. Mrs. Warren’s Profession exposes the hypocrisy and sexism of a society that condemns the same vices that fuel its economy.

There will be special Wednesday matinee performances at 2:00 PM on 2/26, 3/5, and 3/12.
