About This Show

Jacqueline Wade’s Miles Davis is a dramatic poem based upon the life and career of the legendary musician and American icon. Colored with live music, this production examines his artistry, his craftsmanship, his trials and his triumphs from an alternate perspective. The journey through Miles’ life is navigated by Sage, also a trumpet player. As Sage prepares to perform at Miles’ funeral, he reflects on his “friend’s” childhood, education, relationship with Charlie Parker, heroine, women and his music.
