Makeout Session

Makeout Session is Kenan Minkoff’s two-act tribute to the irresistibility of sex and the impossibility of love. It is the story of a boy and a girl who meet in 1987 at the age of fifteen. They fall hopelessly in-love and helplessly in-lust. They meet again in 1997 because they cannot do otherwise. As the audience voyeuristically joins their emotional pilgrimage back to each other, this “every couple” serves as a warning as well as an entertainment. Act I, in which they makeout 27 times, deals with the issue of virginity. Act II, in which they makeout once, details the experience of a broken heart. The play is by Kenan Minkoff; the music is by The Beatles.
