Lola Montez in Bavaria

The Hotel Savant presents John Jahnke’s new musical drama. The story traces Lola Montez, a woman of Irish descent who forged her life as a Spanish noblewoman. She was known for bringing down the opera houses in Europe with her sultry “Spider Dance”. Her dancing caught the eye of King Ludwig I, who fell madly in love with her. Using her domination over the king she influenced the politics of the bavarian society. The citizens ridiculed and despised her, which eventually led to revolution.
