New York City
For more than 85 years, the St. Bart’s Players — NYC’s oldest, continuously running Off-Off Broadway, award-winning theater group — have survived the great depression, the current recession and are now headed for Skid Row…
The St. Bart’s Players proudly presents LITtLE SHOP OF HORRORS, the laugh-out-loud musical that’s one of Off-Broadway’s longest-running shows. A completely tongue-in-cheek modern take on ’50s B-movies, Little Shop boasts a hilarious score by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken.
Little Shop follows the life of Seymour Krelborn, a floral assistant on Skid Row, who purchases an exotic plant that develops a mysterious need for human flesh. As Seymour seeks the affection of his lovely coworker, Audrey, he also battles for control over his increasingly bloodthirsty plant, Audrey II. The plant quickly grows beyond what Seymour imagined and turns into a bad-mannered, R&B singing carnivore. Audrey II gives Seymour his 15 minutes of fame, but he soon realizes he has bitten off more than he can chew…
Don’s miss this sidesplitting, tuneful story of a nerd and his man-eating plant brought to life by The St. Bart’s Players…celebrating their 85th season!
