In this play about freedom, home and the immigrant experience, Vlad, the son of a Russian Mafioso recreates reality by immersing himself in a virtual chat world.
Playwright Saviana Stanescu and Lark Play Development Center are participants in the New Generations Program, funded by the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation/The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and administered by Theatre Communications Group, the national organization for the American theatre. Lenin’s Shoe was first presented at the Lark as a Studio Retreat in July 2004.
February 1st performance begins at 7pm, and is followed by: IN-BETWEEN TWO CULTURES, a free panel discussion on the Immigrant experience.
