About This Show

The Oberon Theatre Ensemble starts its sixth season with Shakespeare’s classic tragedy King Lear. King Lear, retiring after a hard war, divides his country for his three daughters based on their declarations of love toward him. This unwise act leads to murder, betrayal and further war and reveals the power of love to both destroy and to heal. Set amidst the Bronze Age thousands of years ago, this story of life, death and redemption transcends time and connects to the losses we all feel in our lives. Donovan Johnson
directs.
