About This Show

Rick Gray’s new play Kariuki’s Notebook is a highly physical comedy with music, set in Kenya, and performed by an African and African American cast. The play is a “Shepardesque” surrealist work about the power of language and how it can bind people of different cultures with humorous misunderstandings. Sonoko Kawahara directs.
