New York City
The ID America Festival features 24 short plays about American identity, written by playwrights from around the nation. The festival was inspired by the growing concern by Quo Vadimus Arts over the polarization of media in America. News organizations are increasingly biased towards the left or right, and it is rare to find an open forum where differing points of view are given equal weight. The festival is designed to question, explore, challenge and celebrate what it means to be living in America today. At the end of the festival, a panel of judges selects 4-5 plays to be part of an evening of winning plays. The winning plays will also be taken on a national tour of universities and regional theaters.
