New York City
Great romances and great musicals go hand-in-hand: Boy meets Girl, Boy loves Girl, Boy loses Girl, antics ensue and a big, emotional, happy (sometimes) ending follows. But what if the Girl is actually a Witch? That means the age-old story gets turned inside out and upside down! Witches aren’t permitted to love and Boy doesn’t even like Girl. The only sure thing is that antics definitely ensue. It’s love versus magic and all bets are off. This show will keep you guessing, leave you laughing, and send you out singing. Love takes center-stage in Hexed in the City, featuring music by Neil Berg (The Prince and the Pauper), book by Tom Mills (Musicals Tonight!), and lyrics by Neil Berg and Tom Mills. Mills also directs. Presented by Sonnet Repertory Theatre as part of the 2004 Bard’s Backyard workshop series.
Appropriate for audiences over 13.
