Gork! directed by Dean Strober, describes the life of writer and performer Autumn Terrill and her younger brother, Adam. Autumn Terrell celebrates her special brother in this irreverent jaunt through the lives of the Terrill family: “the worst family in the world for someone with autism to be raised in”. Autumn Terrill portrays a number of different characters in her and her brother’s life, as he is labeled anew with each visit to the doctor. Whilst to her he is just Adam, an outrageously entertaining younger brother. Along the way she demystifies the world of the “developmentally disabled” whilst shining a colorful, humorous and compelling light on a group of people frequently misunderstood.
