Going to the River, the third annual festival of staged readings and performances featuring the work of African-American women playwrights is presented at the Ensemble Studio Theatre. This New York forum will acknowledge the contribution of these women and their influence on American theatre. The women represented in this year’s festival are: Regina Taylor, Dhana-Marie Branton, Carolyn Gage, Cheryl L. Davis, and S.M. Shephard Massat.
