Five Hours ’til Morning

About the Show

The Remote Theatre Company presents Five Hours ’til Morning, a collection of three one-act plays.

It’s late. You should be in bed, but there’s something pulling you to explore the night. There are Five Hours ’til Morning in a park where two friends search for arrowheads, aliens, and ducks. There are Five Hours ’til Morning in a dark cafe whose only lights are at the end of cigarettes held by individuals searching for each other. There are Five Hours ’til Morning as a young man controls his own dreams in order to manipulate three girls from his high school.

Each world premier play contained within the show visits a different dreamscape, taking the audience on a wildly different journey. In Caley Oakes-Bisson’s Park World, directed by Jordan Seavey, Bill J. Chamberlain and Jesica Avellone play young adults who share but one brief night in a world of fantasy. Christopher J. Wojtylko and Nathalie Musquin play a couple on a blind date in a bar with no lights, in Sean Stevenson’s Café Noir, directed by Dan Stowell. Brian Greer plays Sid, who attempts to control his own dreams, in Colleen AF Venable’s Sid’s Dream, directed by Caley Oakes-Bisson, and featuring the acting talents of Katherine Dillingham, Jef Forsberg, Brooke Geiger, Dorian Lake, Lauren Tremblay, and Jaime West. Combined these three plays aim to refresh an audience’s appreciation of their own dream world, the one they visit every evening.
