Welcome to Falsettoland! This delightful musical features music and lyrics by William Finn and a book by James Lapine. It follows the lives of Marvin’s dysfunctional extended family including his gay lover Whizzer, his ex-wife Trina, his teenage son Jason, his former psychiatrist who is now his ex-wife’s husband, and two lesbian neighbors. The family is preparing for Jason’s Bar Mitzvah. But its not all fun and games, as Whizzer is struck down by a mysterious illness. Set in the early 1980s, this powerful story tackles subjects like gay families, AIDS, and religion. Marlo Hunter directs and choreographs.
